I knew from previous reviews that the showers had no pressure on the fifth floor, so I had no intention of showering that morning (despite the desire). I was also pleasantly surprised to find that all 3 of us had been given keys, where I had thought I would have to wake up to let them in each time. There is only one key per room and a nightmare to coordinate with the key in and out the room. You are only allowed to stay 3 days total of nights and, the beds are really for children. There is no lockers and the storage room is notorious for losing your stuff, such umbrellas, sleeping bags, et cetera. Although it is the only time to take a warm shower since the hours of the morning are for Polar bears only. They make you go out for cleaning up, (11-3:30 PM), and you would only find they have folded your blanket during that period. Most of the clientelle lost by the abuse and the taking for granted. The Blue Planet Hostel started with a good concept and atmosphere. While another hostel close to the Bastille it was only 13.00 euros, The Friends Hostel. Which used to send everyone, claiming it was the cheapest hostel in Paris at only 18.30 euros per night. Years ago was operating with the same mafia in the Tourist Information Center at Ave. This place managed by a maniac, Celine, is so overly priced when taken under consideration, she runs the place as a jail house.
